ALI ABDUL-HAMID, 27, from Lanark Road, W9 was sentenced at Inner London Crown Court on 27 August to three and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to malicious wounding to a DJ outside the SeOne Club, Weston Street in May last year.

Whoopie Goldberg has quit her role on the West End stage in the musical 'Sister Act'.

The actress received news that her elderly mother, Emma, had fallen seriously ill after suffering a severe stroke. She flew back to America after receiving the news yesterday, Friday 27th August 2010.
