Could this weekend signal the end of Summer for 2010? Some weather experts seem to think it will be our last weekend of good sunshine and above-average temperatures. If that is the case, it's just as well it has come at the end of the school holidays as people get back to routine.

The nights are drawing in and the night temperatures are dropping!

Have the organisers left it one week too late for the Mayor's Thames Festival which takes place next weekend on 11th/12th September? We will see.

Nonetheless, I will not mention that festive word beginning with the letter 'C' just yet!

Is that it? Somebody please tell me that summer isn't officially over. I can't help noticing that the nights are drawing in and it's dark by 8:30pm now.

Oh well, at least it's a bank holiday weekend and being the end of August it can only mean one thing; time for Europe's biggest street festival, the Notting Hill Carnival. Around 1 million people are expected to descend on the area this weekend. Are you going to be one of them?

With over 40 static sound systems to dance to, hundreds of Caribbean food stalls to choose from, dozens of floats traversing the streets around Notting Hill and North Kensington, and the weather set to be sunny, carnival could be the perfect way to end the summer. Don't forget, Sunday will be children's day while Monday is for adults.

Whatever you're up to this bank holiday, have a great weekend!

I've heard today that Lady Gaga is about to overtake Britney Spears in having the most followers on twitter. I have to say, I never really bothered with twitter before but these days it's becoming a part of our daily lives just as much as Facebook or sending a text message. Granted, many people still refuse to sign up to social networks for their own reasons, but with more and more companies using the sites to target specific audiences, I'm sure a few minds can be changed!

But Lady Gaga will need to watch out as it's also been reported that teen pop sensation, Justin Bieber is adding hundreds of thousands of followers a month on twitter and could overtake her by the end of the year.

Is it me or is there a trend at the moment for remaking things from the past? There have been a lot of film remakes recently including Friday the 13th, The A Team and The Karate Kid. Plus, in a couple of years time, we'll be eagerly awaiting Ghostbusters III which is currently in production and due for release around Christmas 2012.

On the music side, we're seeing tracks from the past being covered by current artists such as Florence & The Machine's 'You've Got The Love', (originally recorded by The Source featuring Candi Station), and tracks being remixed such as Professor Green's 'I Need You Tonight", (originally by the Australian rock band INXS).

What's your opinion on remixed and remade tracks? Are you a fan? Do you prefer the remade versions to the originals?

This summer is turning out to be the one of the best for several years! I do remember thinking to myself, that "winter was pretty harsh so we'll be in for a good summer". With schools all over the country finishing for the summer, it'll probably be the children who'll best be able to enjoy this great British weather. I don't know about you, but there are a few songs in the chart that add to that feel-good-factor in this weather.

There is one new entry in this week's chart but what a difference a week can make...

1) Love The Way You Lie - Eminem & Rihanna

2) Airplanes (featuring Hayley Williams) - B.o.B

3) We No Speak No Americano - Yolanda Be Cool Vs D Cup
